shot blasting. will find any rust/holes and not cheap.

Deff shot or sand , wouldn't be that much I'd guess at £100 , why do you want it back to metal?

only good really if you take most the sealer off first... Acid dipping is the best but has huge cost..

Id opt for heat gun, wall paper scraper and a wire brush

grinders seems to be the best way. was going to get the body shop to do it when it goes for full respray but just trying to keep cost down so i can spend more money on the engine

I've got a mbx tool that makes easy work of it. Bit I would reccomend getting it blasted. If its solid then a simple etch prime and unerseal stone chip. Then some good wax oil once dry.

Grinder or wire brush on a drill makes a massive mess, mine was all rubbery stuff, chisel worked great, just scrapes off in big lines, then clean the rest off with a spinning wire brush
