Hi Guys just got back after our Easter Trip to Sao Paulo and Rio. What are great place Brazil is although its a very scary and dangerous place at night time.

Not sure how the World Cup and 2016 Olympics will go but is an awesome place to visit. Apologies for a large amount of pics but its hard to capture everything we saw

Some awesome pics!
I have almost the identical ones of suger loaf, and corcovado.
Did you go for a walk round the favelas? They aren't as bad as people make out!
I got back two weeks ago from 4months working in brazil, I got to spend one day in rio I was gutted.

yeah walked briefly through them - didnt feel that safe TBH

Rio in my opinion is a dangerous place at night although had a cracking Saturday night out in downtown

What I find strange in Brazil is the fact that terrorism etc does not seem to be on the radar at all. Example I had my camera backpack etc with me and all the places including the highrise buildings and stadiums I could just walk in - never had my bag checked or scanned etc . But they are so wary of being mugged etc

i was surprised at how green it was when i went, nightlife is awesome though and i found the people very friendly.
didnt go to sao paulo though, i was in Curitiba.

That shot you took of the airport and cable cars reminds me of james bond, Moonraker?

i also remember paying tramps to look after the car or they would smash it up

You are correct it's where the guy with the metal teeth bites trough the cables.
Where I stayed in petropolis up in the mountains about 100km from rio,
the people were nice an the women amazing!!
I walked everywhere and never ha any hassle.
Though one guy I was working with got mugged at the carnival in rio.

Night time in Rio was quite scary - dont know if the UK heard of the kidnap of tourists over the easter weekend

We went to downtown on the Saturday night and it was awesome. Rest of the time in Rio we stayed close to the beach front

In Sao Paulo we travelled all over the city to downtown where Bar Brahama. Its a massive city with over 15 million people so not worthwhile to visit the one district in Sao Paulo
