Where is the best/easiest place to be buying cleaning products from? i presume it's not halfrauds.

Just need a very basic wash kit and a wax kit if possible? I don't have a pressure washer to do the snow foam shizzle nor a grinder for detailing finishing.

Any shampoo you can find and halfords for autoglym super resin polish, if you can wait for delivery I'd just order some collinite 476s then you'll be sorted.

jesus, I am out of touch with this car business. what ever happened to just a simply wash an go, there's so much choice!

I'd recommend Dodo Juice Basics of Bling for a shampoo, and Collinite 845 as a wax.

the waxing looks a bit intense, I used to get a wash and wax all in one. Would I wash, polish then wax to seal in the shine and protect from general motorway shit.

yes. i'd say buy the stuff on ebay as it's usually cheaper. just get a decent shampoo, polish, wax, microfibre cloths, applicators for polish/wax and a nice wash mitt, and that's all you really need apart from the usual glass cleaner, back to black stuff, tyre shine.

i've bought so much stuff over the years and haven't used half of it.

Yeah, wash, polish then wax. Waxing is the most important part as it protects all the effort you've put into getting it shiny!

Not true - the wax or sealant is the least important stage. Proper wash technique, claying and polishing - i.e. the prep work - is the most important part; this is where all the improvement in appearance will take place. The wax or sealant simply locks in the hard work.

Not disagreeing with you at all, just think it's important to protect your paint after you put all the effort into prepping it.

I would have also thought the pre-work (wash/polish) was the most important to ensure the wax doesn't lock in a shit look however I'd also was a good bloody wax to lock in the hard work. (i've been reading up today )
