Hi guys,

I have got me a set of these alloys for my Corsa B:

Can I use the standard wheel bolts from my steelies, or will I need new bolts?

If I need new bolts, are they just standard bolts?

Cheers and happy weekend guys and gals

yeah use the standard bolts.
if you bought new bolts, i presume the only bolts that you are able to buy are actually standard bolts.
locking nuts arent different bolts they are just standard bolts with a different head on them.

That sounds great Kieran, was thinking that they might needed to be longer threaded or something.

Will probably try and fit the wheelslater this evening then

Steel bolts are not as long as alloy bolts for vaux so ideally need to get some of those

Christopher: You don't have any measurements do you?

These look like the same length as mine, I guess they would be too short?

Looking around yes it does seem as if the bolts for alloy wheels are different, just try yours with the wheel on and count the number of turns of the bolts to see if you have a number that you think is safe.

Just had a check yesterday evening, and the bolts didn't protrude as much with the alloys, as with the steelies. There were approx. 5mm difference from my memory.

So I will get some new bolts today, eventhough I couldn't fit the rears, as they fouled the rear fender trim... Damn....

The bolts from a Astra coupe turbo were the same length as the ones on my Corsa C with steels.

Is the taper seat at the same angle? The length is important but so is the seat.

Isn't the only options either:

Flat seat.
60 degrees conical.
Round seat.

Never fitted a set of alloys on a corsa b yet in 10 years that haven't been fine with the steely bolts, most factory alloys had the same bolts anyway, a corsa stud is a corsa stud unless you use wheel spacers etc or have rediculously offset wheels, which obviously require longer ones
