After taking part in my first Auto Solo taster event the car clubs looking to organise more after getting a good response. I used the integra for it but if I was doing it regularly Im thinking about getting another cheap car that I can use solely for it and maybe even venture into road rallies. I would use the integra again but would enjoy it more if I didnt have to worry about damaging it with a cone or something, 96 spec JDM headlights go for around £200!

Ideally like something vauxhall for cheapness, parts and I know them. Looking out for a corsa or astra, although from owning that mk3 gsi I know there isnt exactly that much bits out there and it would be a budget build. Looking to spend max £1400 really. Would like something with a few mods already

Heres some of my finds already, unfortunately I just came offshore today so 2 weeks before I can go and view anything. My mates already offered me his car trailer and volunteered his brother to drive it to go pick something up, looking at an astra in south yorkshire!

Astra :

Corsa, although c20xe would be a bit heavy for throwing it about a tight circuit where Il be in 2nd gear at the most. Looks a decent conversion, would ideally prefer a 1.6 16v

Any other suggestions of cars to look out for? Pug 205's seem to be a bit out of budget, trying to limit my spending. Seen a few clio's but dont want something too soft, seen a clio on Sunday destroy a driveshaft after 2 runs

Anybody notice something odd on both pics of that Astra? The wing mirror has been photoshopped?

Aye the pass side one on both pics. I didnt notice it until tonight, had been viewing on my phone before. Iv emailed asking for the mileage and more pictures

Something rwd might be a bit much of a handful, considering I havent driven rwd before either. Mini would be perfect but not cheap at all! Another I forgot to add was maybe a puma?

Get a non-SVA kit car IMO. Cheap to buy, repair, look after and ideal for auto solo
