Ordered a foam lance yesterday. Suspect it'll the most impressive looking yet useless step in my car cleaning routine.

Can't wait.

By the way, Dave, I tried using Meg's Last Touch after drying the car, as you suggested, and was a much better result.

Worked well in the engine bay as well.

Cristopher S. is NOT pleased!

But the reply from Simon is very good. You handled that professionally imo.

Absolutely. Thing is, a lot of places don't see it that way and seem determined to treat any negative comments as personal insults, which doesn't look good at all.

Your approach is good and shows any potential customers that when there WERE issues, you were willing to try and solve them.

Glad it worked alright I very rarely do anything in engine bays. Not brave enough to use the pressure washer on it and it gets covered in much again straight away anyway

I got it from Clean Your Car. Only seem to have the one model, as far as I can tell.
Bought 5L. of Valet Pro pH neutral foam. Seems to get good reviews for a budget solution.

Impressively, the Z doesn't get very dirty under the bonnet at all. Despite not cleaning the bay all winter and my wife doing 100 km's a day in it, there was very little dirt.
Sprayed on some last touch and wiped down. Job done.

I don't dare use any water in there, though. There's wires everywhere with all the hybrid stuff going on.

That looks like a PA lance, they're very good. I've tried the pH neutral one before, but only with the lance-type attachment that came with my pressure washer, so it didn't work very well as you couldn't adjust the mixture or anything and it didn't foam properly. I use their Advanced Neutral stuff now, it works very well

Oh yeah I forgot it was a hybrid A nice easy wipe down will do it then If you want something to make the plastics under there (or indeed anywhere else) look nice then 303 aerospace protectant is pretty good. Although I don't always find it to be particularly durable on surfaces that are exposed to lots of weather, like external trim. On anything else it's bang on - I used it on a model car ages ago (I think it was last winter) and it still looks awesome

In other news, I'm thinking of upgrading the hard drive in my Sky box. Then I thought I could also upgrade the ones in my PC, but then 3x 1TB drives comes to nearly £150 Which is money I would be better off not spending when I've got stuff to pay off
