Any ideas how to handle this? Just noticed it on my A-Pillar. Doesn't feel particularly rough to touch, tried rubbing it with a fingernail+microfibre+polish but it's not shifting.

I could just paint over it, but not sure if it'll come back to haunt me or spread etc?

Any products about that can rub this right off?

It's not had a screen in the 6 months I've had it, but it's an 8 year old car - so possibly! It's scratched to fuck though, so not recent if it has.

I've tried AG SRP as that's all I had lying around - but I'm stocking up for my big strip down, machine polish and sealant so I'll attack it with something more aggressive then.

Impreza's are notorious for rust around the screen. Particularly at the top! Best to get the screen out and get it sorted tbh.

Also did some work for my brother on a couple of occasions and it was spot on.

Found some Megs Ultimate polish so attacked it with that and my missus' toothbrush

Came up fine, no texture to be felt under where the rust was, and I've lifted the seal all around the screen - no sign anywhere else.

I shall monitor the situation for now

Guessing there's bare metal somewhere beneath and the rust seeped through a bit or somethin?

Good work anyway, was gonna say I'd probs tackle it with some G3 or somethin, my new favourite wonder-juice.

I couldn't see any obvious source of the rust, very odd! If it returns, I'll have the screen out and have it properly treated but for now there is no bubbly paint and no exposed metal from what I can see.

Might just be some residue of some sort, if it was rust and you have polished it off, then it would turn back to rust pretty quickly
