Can I add another vehicle onto an existing policy at a cost or do i have to start a new policy?

Any car needs a main policy of its own to begin with, so for example if you wanted to add a mates car onto your policy, you could at a cost but you can't just buy a car and add it onto your existing policy

A multi car policy is a new policy though,
They will start a multicar policy on the second car and then add your first car when the renewal is due

Be sure to check prices for insuring both separately though, don't just assume they are the cheapest because they offer you a multicar 'discount'
Also unsure on this one but I don't think you can mirror your no claims if that's what you are aiming at doing?!
But worth checking because as I say I'm not 100%
