Right, just shelled out money to buy an ECU for my SPI 1.4 corsa (as it has no eml light so a suspected broken ecu from it being wet), My new one arrived today, plugged it in, exactly the same?
The fuel pump relay works fine, all the fuses are fine, but I dont know where the Fuse for the ECU is, the ECU also has a Permenent live, a few grounds and a switched live from the ignition, but its still dead. Also opcom wont comminuicate.
The bulb in the dash is fine, I have also disconnected every single sensor I could find in the engine bay then tried it, still nothing?
Anyone shed some light on this would VERY much appreciated.

Sorry, the old ecu had gotten wet, the plugs at the bottom. So I guess thats knackerd the ECU, plugged this one in (obviously they were dry), and its still dead.

The ecu is dead or engine? What's happening when you turn the key.?
What engine is it?
What car is it?

Corsa B
The ECU seemed dead, no eml light, no fuel pump no spark no nothing. Power going into the ECU and live when the ignition is on but still nothing, the bulb is fine for the EML light and all fuses are fine.

If the plugs were wet then id say you need to check them out, ie corroded pins etc.

how did it get wet? if its from a puddle/going through deep water id say its possible your engine is knackered seems a strange one to get water on the ecu if not. otherwise it could be a wide range of things. dodgy earth, corroded wiring etc... when did it stop working? what happened?

all the wiring is fine, all the pins are good!
The car was running, I got in and shut the door the engine cut out, turned the key back on and got no ECU light.
Just wired a live into the black wire on the ecu which is supposed to be live anyway (but wasnt) I got an ECU light, 3000rpm no fuel pump relay clicking and 3volts at the coil and obviously still no starting.

Injectors getting power? You obviously have a power related issue somewhere.

Its single point injection, and nope no fuel no spark.
I only get 1 switched 12v on with the ignition on to the ecu, other wire is dead? (apart from perminant live)

Got it running now, sort of anyway.
Put a 12v feed to the black wire on the corner of the multi plug and it started.
Turned it off (removing feed) went to start it again and it flashed the EML light, checked the codes I got
(Immobilizer)
No Engine request
Vehicle speed low
(ECU)
P15?? Immobilizer Signal Request - Present??
If I turn the key on, then the ECU with the wire, it doesnt give any error on the ECU and starts but the immobilzer still says no engine request? But it runs fine? Its like powering the ECU after the turn of the key bypasses the immobilizer?

Dont presume your pins are fine, i got water in my ecu, tried a new ecu still no good. Checked and cleaned all pins and connectors and thought all ok still no good. Fitted a new loom and bingo solved my 6 month problem i checked the continuity through a few conectors and was fine but obviously my ecu didn't agree

If you've just swapped ecu over and none of the othe run moniker stuff you will have EML flashing and immobiliser kicking in... Assuming your car has immobiliser

Yes it has an immobiliser, but it only kicks in if I put a live to the ECU then turn the key, if I do it the otherway round it doesnt.
