Randomly looking at a car bulb today and I thought it looked really old fashioned technology. In the growing world of led lights bulbs are starting to look dated.

I reckon in about 20 years time we will be looking at bulbs from today and thinking I can't believe we used to use those. A bit like old glass valves in tvs

Tungsten filament bulbs are still a far cheaper economy than LED at the current time.

Yep, but if you actually look at a filament bulb it does actually look like it doesn't belong in todays technology

And how bloody expensive will that lot be to replace. And they will inevitably go because every car I saw with blown headlight is a modern high value car such as BMW or Audi.

What part of it would 'blow'?
Its an LED, not a lamp, it doesn't contain a filament like a normal lamp
