I've been searching around here and I can't find the post; but at some point a few months ago someone posted a contact for a guy in Wales who was recommended for doing replacement convertible roofs. Does anyone else remember this thread or know who I'm talking about?
Thanks

Cheers Robin - that's the guy. Just phoned them and he said he doesn't make Boxster roofs anymore, but he'll fit one for me if I buy it from elsewhere. I've found a second hand one for my car now which I might pick up, but I don't think I'll be driving to Swansea for fitting!
For reference, it looks like he does BMW Z3's too.

I found this, it's a BAS upgrade to glass on a knackered frame. Thought I could either repair the frame with a part from mine or fit the hood onto my frame:

KBaggs in Dorset, knows about the mechanisms/alignment too. Only person in UK who can fix E36 roofs essentially.

Make a carbon fibre one yourself?

Bought that second hand one. It's a fraction the price of a new one, so worth a shot.
Not a fan of the hardtops, so no carbon roof.

I don't regret mine - I've got a 12 month old glass screened upgrade hood for a fraction of the cost new It's in great condition, it's just going to take up a weekends work to get it fitted!

Ah ok it's only a few months old.
You taking the skin off or replacing the entire frame etc?

Think I'm going to have to take the hood off the frame and fit it on my one. The frame on the new roof is damaged and I don't think I can swap the damaged part out due to it being riveted in place.
