tbh, the last time I went in Topshop, Burtons, HMV, Tescos and even my local butchers they were all fairly busy.
I wouldn't say its an Apple thing

Probably people drooling over the iMacs coming to the realisation that they will soon be heading to PC World for a HP. Que years of staring at the screen regretting the purchase.

It's literally full of people dreaming of being mac owners. Avoid at all costs unless I need a so called genius.

They don't have a till
I walked in last Friday to buy the wench a case and the only free members of staff where ones who didn't have a pay machine.
Lots of old biddies asking the poor cunts how to make a call etc. I walked out in the end. Bet they where gutted about my £25 purchase

If you own an iPhone you could have just paid for it using your own phone and walked out

Always seems busy in meadowhall. Busier than any other of the shops.

It is a definite Apple thing, there's a certain type of person that like to mince about them doing very little.

The one in lakeside is exactly the same. Fhll of teenagers going onto facebook and telling everyone where they are.
A very odd thing to do. It's like an internet cafe without the cafe.

Been to lakeside one twice.
Perfect service both times, even when swapped my phone on warranty. Sat down, lovely system all worked swiftly.
Paid using iPhone. I honestly went home and said "best service I've ever had in a shop"

Its full of people with problems with their phone, redeeming their free technical support because they paid so much for a mobile phone.

You launch the Apple Store App - Scan the item, confirm the payment, your Apple Account gets charge. You walk out
If they ask for proof you use your phone to show your receipt.
Very easy to use and works well. No different to self scan at a supermarket except your phone is the scanner and you don't need to them pay by card.

What happens if you buy something and walk out with it then give the item to someone. Walk back in and pick up another and then wander out with that

So you do almost every aspect of their job for them. And pay for the privilege. Awesome.

I think it's people of 2 kinds in there.
1. The Apple-fanboys who are wanking over the new hardware coming out.
2. The poorer people who like to look good and pretend they have Apple products but actually playing on them for nothing.
