I cant get cheaper than 1035 for my other half has she has no no claims and an accident in last 12 month! Any ideas on good companies to try? Shes 26 and its on a yaris t-sport that is lowered with different wheels and an exhaust of a 1.3 yaris.

1035 was with admiral. Tried breantacre and that came back as 1089. Comparethemarket 1200!

I'm 24 and pay £479 from admiral with 3 years NCB, a B postcode and an at fault accident in the last year... so I'd expect it to double for no NCB

Diamond? Part of admiral/elephant group but cheaper for women.

My misses was insured through them for 700 on a brand new fiesta with 0 NCB at 20.

Paid 1029 knocked 6 quid off for using debit card rather than credit card, every cloud and all that!

Use a comparison site, then check out the cheapest quotes directly with the insurer. Similarly you want to be sticking it through Quidco/Topcashback - usually can save a few quid there.

I used a comparison site but it was nowhere near admiral and brentacre, I always find them useless when you start ticking modification boxes!

Diamond/admiral/bell group or try Hastings they were good for a female driver.

Edit: I do also think that's steep. When I got the e92 (at 23) I didn't have a years NCB and had 2 accidents within the last 3 years and it was still less than a grand with coverage upto 25k per annum.

Because for some reason some 1.3sr's came with a sporty tte backbox and the t-sports got a crap en with a bit of a different tip. The one on the t-sport rusted off so I picked up a tte one off a 1.3 and as she is bad at driving its best everything is declared!

No one would care one bit about using a 1.3 exhaust on a 1.5

That's with me on it as named driver, just had to take it on chin, dont really want to start messing about and buying a cheaper to run car as its a reliable little motor with quite low milage.

I'm 22 and lost my NCB after not using them for 2 years, I have no claims against me or points and for me to ensure a Corsa GSI it's going to cost me £800 so I would say that 1000 isn't too bad if she has a claim against her.

She's 4/5 (shes 27 in a week) years older than you though and she's a female compared to a young male and you are paying £200 less, I still think its dear, it best be a lot cheaper next year when she is 27 with 1 years no claims put it that way (thats if she gets to it!).

Insurance is expensive I know, I was looking at GSI's 3 years ago and they wanted £3,000, if I had kept my no claims my insurance would be £450 it's a shame.
