I intend to but my investment account is currently being transferred to another provider so I'm not sure if I'll be able to. They seem to be massively undervalued.

You have a 1 in 7 chance of getting them.
Turns out I'm not allowed to buy new issue securities anyway because of my job, so it was a good job I missed the deadline.

Looks like if you only asked for a few shares you will get them as they are blocking the larger bulk buyers

I was going to but i could only have afforded to invest £1k which would would have realistically meant £400 max and the profit on that would not have been worth the risk, esp as they have been valued at £3.30.
theres a good thread on it on PH. IMO, unless you have an existing portfolio then it isnt really woirth it, they are hideously oversubscribed too. 1 in 6 was last i heard

More than likely, yeah.
Anyone who requested £750 quid gets them, anyone who wanted over £10k gets none

Surely if they're 7 times oversubscribed it'll mean the price will fly up tomorrow due to the demand?

They'll fly up but there will be a massive sell off as well.
I suspect a lot have jumped on the bandwagon having heard they were popular.
I mean no-one sends letters these days, and its an organising with a massive pension shortfall and a union on the verge of striking again.

They make profit and 6% dividend is pretty good
Plus some of their london locations would be worth a fair bit if sold to developers
My question is who will be buying and selling tomorrow if average Joe hasn't got the shares through yet and no proper investor is going to sell when they are expected to go up

Made 390m profit last year iirc. The strike was supposed to be to stop the privatisation, which has obviously gone ahead, so not sure whether that will go ahead now. Personally I hope not as if our office strikes we forego a £300 bonus, makes it a very expensive pointless day if we do. I'm also happy with a 8.9% pay rise over the next 3 years.
Only problem I can see is that the agreement only guarantees things for 3 years (wages, job security etc.) Not sure what happens after that, whether they have free reign to do whatever they want or not. Either way, the union wants that to be extended.

Sounds like everyone is getting £750 worth unless you were greedy and asked for £10000

I requested 2k, couple of family members went for the max amount and we all ended up with 750!
Sneaky cunts are keeping the remainder until the 21st of October then refunding it.
