So apparently there's a bit of a shit storm at work as the dimwit, whom I actually think we're paid to have working here, was sent out in a hurricane to pull down the flags.

Turns out he had trouble holding on to the flag line, seeing as there were, well, a hurricane tugging the other end.
He decided the best thing he could do was to wrap the line securely around his neck and drag the flags down by walking away.
I guess that's as good a way as any to learn that a force, strong enough to be pulling up trees, will have no trouble hanging a man.

Luckily some passerby saw the ordeal and got the poor guy untangled.

I actually thought the same.

I didn't joke about him being a dimwit by the way. I'm pretty sure he's mentally challenged and is employed through some kind of sheltered work arrangement.

I've never had the nerve to ask anyone though, in case it might not be true.

How long have you been waiting to ask that??

Bet you have been waiting on a thread appearing with "house coat" in it to ask that. But as such it hasn't happened so a "morning" thread will have to do lol.

I have epic slippers with eyes on.

Who sends the clearly mentally challenged guy out to take the flags down in a hurricane? Or did they think it would be a standard apprentice joke like go and find a left handed screwdriver?

Somebody only slightly less retarded. Obviously the guy shouldn't have been handed the task, hence this mornings shit storm.

In related news.
What do you do if you want to edit something on the company website, but aren't entirely sure how anything works?
A) Hand the task to the company web admin?
B) Ask the company web admin for help?
C) Click on every single button in the CMS backend, copy a lot of shit, delete some other shit, generally mess everything up and hope nobody notices it was you, despite "last edited by your name" being displayed in bright letters next to everything you touched and as a result lose the administrator privileges you probably shouldn't have had in the first place?

I always thought dressing gown made it sound like something fancy.

What's wrong with bathrobe? Or is that too American?

A bathrobe is usually made from towelling or other absorbent textile, and may be donned while the wearer's body is wet, serving both as a towel and an informal garment.

A dressing gown or a housecoat is a loose, open-fronted gown closed with a fabric belt that is put on over nightwear on rising from bed, or, less commonly today, worn over some day clothes when partially dressed or undressed in the morning or evening.

Mine is made from very plush microfibre.

I will also use it in both of the above fashions.
Combined with sweat pants and a wife beater it makes up my "working from the home office" suit.
