My missus has an ipad mini with some films saved on it and we use it for bbc iplayer. Im sure there must be a lead out there which means i can watch iplayer and itunes films through my tv. I can see some wich look like what i was expecting but for the old plug but nothing for lightning connectors but there are adaptors. Will this work or even better can anyone recommend me or link me to one?

£40 though - for £60-70 you could get a second hand Apple TV and stream over WiFi to your telly as well as a bunch of other stuff that the Apple TV does.

I'd be very surprised if you could get an analogue output from a lightning connector; composite is pretty much considered obsolete now.

I'm almost certain the lightning connector only has digital outputs (HDMI).

Thats obviously why they dont do a lightning one then. There are cheaper leads the same as the one u posted earlier. How does that connect to the tv though? Do u need a hdmi lead to connect it to?

iPad Female Lightning connector -> [Male Lightning -> Female HDMI adaptor] -> Male to male HDMI cable -> Female HDMI input on TV
