Hi guys as above I'm having a bit of a mission ATM trying to solve why my car is misfiring and running lumpy on idle. Basically if I start the car from stone cold and let it warm up everything is fine, however if I then drive it then switch it off then turn it back on again shortly after ( like if I go to a shop etc ) when I start it again the car will
Misfire and run very lumpy making it impossible to drive... This stops after about 1min then all is fine
I have replaced the coolant temp sensor 3times And all genuine, this is what I assumed it was but it's made no difference, I have changed the air flow meter, air temp sensor, idol control valve, dizzy cap, lambda sensor, and cleaned my injector earths. Still no joy but next on my list is to change the throttle position sensor.. As when you unplug then when it's running bad the misfire goes but the engine still hunts, plug it back in and the misfire is back
Has anyone got any info or had this problem before? Please let me know because this is driving me crazy lol.

Yeah? What engine do you have in yours mate? I forgot to mention mine is a c20let and also the rev gauge has started to jump about randomly.

Just a 1.0 12v, pretty much all the problems you described + when the clutch is in the car still sounds like its revving
e.g. meet a car on a narrow road so come to a stop, clutch in brake pressed yet sounds like im pressing accelerator down

I just changed the crank sensor and no change... How ever when it's running lumpy I pulled out the coolant temp plug and the idle was raised and it ran fine. When I plugged it back in then the car went back to being lumpy. Just started to check the wireing leading up to the sensor but all seems fine. But defo seems like it could be coolant related....

was worth ago,
yeah crank sensors onces warmed up can cut the engine out and stop it from restarting, untill the engine is cold again
thought this might have been a side effect of it on its way out
