Draw is this Friday, at 4pm. Quite looking forward to it. I'd actually quite like us to get at least one really good side, we tend to get "up for" games against bigger sides.

I thought only me and steve cared about England?
But yeah, it could be really bad for us, but it could also be a pretty easy group. Not sure what I'd prefer tbh, on one side, if we have a hard group, and get through then at least there will be one or two less good teams. Although we might just go out.

So the French as the lowest ranking team in pot 4 were meant to be moved into pot 2. But magically Fifa have decided that's not fair on the French and Itll now be a draw to determine which country moves into pot 2. That doesnt seem suspicious at all

England only have themselves to blame for not being further up the ranking system.
Guy on Twitter explained it brilliantly and it was an eye opener. Beating Scotland actually moved you backwards as Scotland have a shit ranking and your points are averaged over the amount of games. Holland shot themselves in the foot as well by playing some duff team and so did Italy by playing San Marino.
The administrators picking the friendlies need shot.

It could still go either way anyway, pot 2 could be a blessing, alternatively it could be awful. But them changing the rules because the French finished lowest is pretty ridiculous

typically mental draw system. as said by hodgson, location is much more impoortant than who we get drawn against - if we get drawn in the hot north (30o+ and c.60-70% humidity!) then algeria could roll us over :\
