Got an email from 'Pay Pal' saying I sent a payment to skype, which I didn't.
Clicked the link on the email and stupidly logged in Realised straight away I had been a retard, so went onto my browser.and logged in the normal way and changed my password quickly.
Just to make sure, I called paypal to make sure it was fake. They confirmed this was the case.
I tried removing a card on my account but couldn't as it said an instant bank transfer is pending. This is a credit card.
Asked the fraud guy about it and he said there doesn't appear to have been a transaction and he removed the card from my account.
Will the transaction still go through?

I know.
Halifax says no transactions currently pending but call back if I see anything unusual on the account, which is good news.
Hoping I changed my details quick enough.

Email was exactly the same as the normal ones they send when payments are made.
I also have a skype account which made me think I had paid for a subscription.
Hoping I caught it quick enough to stop anything going out. Won't be a problem if it has, just need to ring them up.

Easiest way to get throw life with the internet is to never follow a link from an email. If you feel like checking it out then go to the site and log in.
Also works with out of the internet. Get a phone call from your bank or phone provider. Tell them you will give them a call back when able to.

Twitch is the boss here.
Only links I ever use in emails are ones to unsubscribe from marketing stuff (genuine stuff obvs).

You say that but even when I bought something from a legitimate website (eurocarparts), they tried to scam me.
Luckily my bank stopped a payment to columbia before it went through.
Hoping this is the same. No payment has came out and my bank is now aware.

Reply to the scammers and say you have a Z4 and could be on the M25 in 11 minutes then see how scared they are.

Very quiet actually. I live in some weird old quarry type thing, right at the bottom with chalk cliffs at the back.
