I've been flying since the end of the summer now. Started with a parkzone micro Trojan. Can honestly say its the best fun i've had for £50! Absolute cracking fun, and so easy to fly. Got myself a spektrum dx6i to go with it too.

Then, being a typical man, decided it was far too slow and boring. So stepped up to an Eflite ultra micro Mig-15 EDF jet.

Now this thing was absolutely nuts, it must be doing a good 30-40mph with the wind behind it.

But, im now bored of this, as I can now do what I want with it, even in a bit of wind. So, I ordered a hobbyking t45 goshawk Thursday.

This one is 1000mm wing span, still in epo foam. Comes with a 64mm edf fan and runs on 3 or 4s batteries. Again, only 70 quid and its ready to fly almost. They say it will do about 130km/h as standard. Its due to be delivered tomorrow, and im like a kid at Christmas. Already planned some upgrades for it, for once im used to it.

Anyone else into them? If you aint, you don't know what you are missing. Cracking bit of fun

The technology changes in the last ten years are unreal. Let alone 20! He would be shocked at the difference now. If he isn't involved with them now.

I've been into rc cars for quite some time now. Might venture into planes this year. I can sit and watch them for hours on end on YouTube. The people who make the huge commercial airliner planes are a bit odd though.... However its funny when they crash them.

I can only imagine mate! It was all very heath robinson back then. Although, some of the ducted fan planes were incredible at the time, but then the leading tech at the time was mega money.

Always fancied one, but you need so much room to fly them. Hence my little indoor heli

Got dozens of cars, for what it's worth.

Yea space is an issue. Living in Norfolk we have plenty of fields. So not bad for us.

The speed if the things is just incredible.

One of the ultra micros is a great way to start.

Well, this new one is a disappointment to date.

Its missing parts, and trying to sort them is near impossible

This is the newer version of the one I used to fly! But the one I flew had a nitro engine.

Yea still use them, but they are so anti social.

Electric stuff is just as quick really.

He does indeed Andrew.

Sadly for him, his vagina repellent is at maximum strength when he does the awkward smile pose with the aircraft at the end.

F*cking thing sounds full scale as it climbs after the launch and then with the flybys!

Google WOT4 Foam-E

Its an Electric EPP model based on the old bulsa version your dad would have had..

I'm still hooked on FPV! The multi-copter platforms are awesome for stable video footage but fixed wing stuff still gives me a buzz:

I'd like to fpv my new one. Purely for a 3/4min flight. I reckon the rush from flying so fast from a cockpit view would be insane.

Had loads of issues with hobbyking. Rubbish company to deal with.
