im looking at how i can mount my bucket seat into the corsa b v6 drag car.
i currently have it on the original height adjuster runner, then 2 heavy bits of angle iron each side and then the seat
even after iv cut and drilled fuck out of the angle iron its still a really heavy set up...
so im looking at other ways and this ones seem appealing....


(sorry only pic i can find on google)

question about it though, does it go through the tunnel where the exhaust is or just weld onto the tunnel inside of the cab?

only using the one seat here

Just weld to the inside.

you mean those black frames you put in at the beginning?

hmmm not what im looking at/thinking about...

your seats side mounted too... mine have x4 13mm nuts screw up from underneath

im thinking something along the lines of two bits of bar going across but wanting to see where abouts they weld onto best...

no i took them out and put weld in seat rails in last december, 2 bars across

spot on carl, il just copy that sort of idea, maybe weld a little bracket on with a few holes in so it can be move back and forth a bit.

Its not my thread lol

I chopped out all the old seat bases for mine and welded round rollcage tube across then had threaded sleaves welded in, unfortunetly i never bothered with pics

yeah sweet. welded mine in properly today... its low and a little on the too far forward side but not too bad, i couldn't really go any further back without doing more work... should be fine.
just a spreader plate for the eye bolt to weld in now

all the weight saving your doing and not taking the standard seat rails out?, they weigh loads
