So valentines evening my wife and I received some awful news. My mother in law passed away while on their trip of a life time doing a world cruise. Both my mother in law and father in law had just recently retired

We are trying to get them both back to the UK at the moment as the ship is due to dock in Fiji tomorrow

Certainly puts things into perspective, live your lives for today as you don't know what tomorrow may bring....

Awful chap sorry to hear it.

I'll be honest I was waiting for the punchline. Goes to show how little we think that stuff like this happens and the people it affects.

Its a bit like when I finished work for Christmas this year. I was going balls to the wall for the previous 12 weeks, was never ill. Stopped xmas eve, and was ill for over a week. I think your body is just so used to going flat out it doesn't have time to be ill etc.

A guy at my work is 70 this year. he is on his spanners working in a yard 200 miles from home building engines at the min. He has cracking sayings and he is positive if he retires, he wont make a year. It happened to his brother a couple of years ago. Every night he goes home you get "Night boys, if I don't wake up dead, ill see you in the morning." Daft as a brush
