Hey,

As part of a house extension that we are looking to do in the summer we will have a lounge/movie room. It's going to be roughly 2m by 4m so mot massive but great for what we want it to do.

One idea is to have 10-12 movie posters framed on the wall; so far I've found 8 that I am keen on.

1. Jaws

2. Back To The Future

3. Trainspotting

4. Rocky

5. Pulp Fiction

6. The Dark Knight Rises

7. Forrest Gump

8. Ghostbusters

Other ideas bouncing round are Fight Club, Silence Of The Lambs, The Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix and Gladiator.

What films would you go for if you were doing similar?

Wouldn't have gone for that trainspotting poster myself, would have one with cast on.

I used have some up, very similar picks including Fight club. Think I had Oceans 11 too.

Good choices Pop. My old man has got some good star wars ones in his room, also one I always wanted was the fear and loathing in las Vegas one.

Alien, Vertigo, Godfather, Clockwork Orange, Exorcist, Usual Suspects, Moon, American Beauty, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Empire Strikes Back, Donnie Darko all have decent posters I reckon.

Bought an A0 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas poster whilst at uni and stupidly left it in the house when moving out

Pop - Worth keeping an eye out on eBay for vinyl cinema banners; they tend to be reasonably big (the few i've got are around 8x5/6ft) but they look pretty decent when hanging up

Why not save the money you would have spent on posters and put it towards a 103" plasma instead:

(that's a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 4 in case anyone's interested).

For me I would have -

The Italian Job - Original
The Great Escape
North by North West
Touch of Evil
To Catch a Thief
Rear Window
Mall Rats - Kevin Smith
Clerks - Kevin Smith
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - Kevin Smith
Scarface
Goodfellas
Scream

If near London the Cinema Store have a good collection of classic film posters.
