right, just bought myself a new daily motor, vectra c estate. its a great car but one of the issues thats pissing me off is the central locking...
its only came with 1 key with a heavily worn out fob, the remote central locking doesn't work at all, the central locking doesn't work with the key in the lock ether, however the central locking does work when your inside the car with the door shut and you press the 'lock' button the inner drivers door handle...
im not too sure what im meant to buy, if its do-able, how its do-able... please talk me through it....
also, mite be worth mentioning that i think the ecu has been de-coded somehow as theres no chip inside the shoddy key...
any help much appreciated

the chip may have been removed from the key and taped to the transponder on the ignition barrel? seen this done before so you don't need a second key matching to the car. lost codes ect.
many parts for key fobs are available on ebay, new rubber covers, housings ect with out going to Vauxhall. could be flat battery in the fob and worn linkages in the door when you use the key not pushing far enough to make contact with the central locking switch.

Vauxhall charge £27 to code a key to the car if you have the codes. found on its passport or can be brought from them for £25 with proof of ownership and ID.
you may get away with getting a new casing for your fob and swapping the circuit board over.
