Why won't people post reminders dammit!? And looking at it I've missed out the Triumph Stag.

Yesterday's episode was a Classic Mini.

Quite accurate actually if you look at the market for original Austin Mini's.

MK 1 Cooper S's are hideous money and have been for a while.

Another ordinary car I will now never be able to afford.

Where did I say people wouldn't pay £20k???

My point is why would you spend £20k on something that looks and drives like a kids toy? I have the same feelings for the sort of fruit-loop who spends silly amounts of money on an old crappy camper van...

Driving old junk like that is my idea of torture, if someone offered to pay ME £20k to drive a mk1 mini for a year I'd tell them to get fucked.

You said it was not worth £20k and he was therefore a 'chump'.

If people will pay £20k for it; then surely it is worth £20k.

I was unaware that the valuations of used / classic cars were based entirely on your opinion.

I see no other valid reason as to why your Sunday dinner would obstruct your airway other than you disagree with him.

Anyway, it is pointless arguing about it when I completely agree with you, it's a horrendous amount of money to pay.

The cost to me seems massively disproportionate to what you get back in return for ownership. If they were cheaper, I would have one.

Agreed. I have much more respect for the enthusiast who buys a shitter for £50 and fully restores it without worrying about market value; doing only for their own pleasure.
