Distance. It's pretty shit.

We bought a house to get closer, but don't get the keys until next tuesday. Been commuting two hours each way for the past month.

Sod that! What's the actual distance?

I remember doing 50 miles (just over an hour if it was clear) each way a few years back and that was bad enough, more so as 'autopilot' would kick in and you'd end up getting out at the other end not remembering what happened over the last hour

Now it's 20ft to the office; still takes a while to get to 'work' though

125 miles. Pretty much all motorway.

The autopilot thing is exactly true. Every once in a while it's like I snap back to reality and have no clue how far I've come or how long I've been in the car.
