Looking to buy an RC car for my 6 year old (and me ) but don't have a clue what to look for as never had one before.
Found this site : http://www.nitrotek.co.uk/rc-cars/electric-cars/1-10-scale/shopby/off_road.html but I have no idea what's what.
Looking to spend no more than £100.

That's not to bad. The ESC in that is programmable so you can have it set slower for the kid or switch it over to go faster if I remember right.

Was gonna suggest that you wouldn't get much worth buying for a hundred quid and that double that would be a more realistic budget.
You can get some bargains on ebay, (2nd hand and unused new old stock etc) but you need to be lucky and you need to know what to look for. And as you said you weren't clued up on them Scotty, obviously that would be an issue.
Be prepared to waste a lot more money after this if you get hooked rather than bored by it

My experience with RC's is that if you buy cheap you get cheap. You'll probably be buying spares for a cheap car every week
