I have my doubts about this considering Disney's and JJ Abrams' involvement but, and i know it's only a teaser, it doesn't look too shabby
Hopefully Jar Jar Binks isn't in it

I think it's a little bit premature to be saying that, as it still could quite easily end up being a pile of turd like the prequels But certainly, the teaser does look promising

Well sort of. But the look and feel from that, looks excellent IMO.
I really thought it would look weird. But it looked like a cross between the orginals and the prequels mixed with clover field lol.
I'm up for it.

Looks good so far, although the first trailer for The Phantom Menace was immense too.

Love JJ Abrams, love Star Wars (yes, all six of them) so I'm slightly biased. Yet...
I was hoping for a visual style closer to the original trilogy than to the two latest Star Trek films (which I also like).
Sounds like Bendydick Cucumbersnatch did the voiceover using his Kahn voice from Into Darkness. What's with that?
Fuzzy lightsaber? Looks shit. It's light ffs, it's going to be smooth. Hope this is a unique look for the antagonists weapon.
Liked the snow scene. Had a very GoT sort of look, only highlighted by the great sword design of the lightsaber.
I'm looking forward to watching this, but what really makes me worried about the new trilogy has nothing to do with the trailer.
It's the fact that Disney have chosen to blow about half the budget on the first film, leaving the second two in the hands of an unexperienced screenwriter and director.
I fear this might end up to be an inconcistent trilogy of declining quality

I hope he is...
...as long as he gets violently and horribly shot to death in the opening scene.
Btw, Catholic Jedi at 0:53?

Prequel trilogy gets a lot of hate and while I don't think Ep I has aged very well, I still enjoy it. Ep II and III are just solid films, imo.
Ewan McGregor's Obi Wan is probably my favourite character from the entire series.

Its just a shame the kid who plays Anakin and then Hadyn Christensen are possibly teo of the worst actors to have ever been shown on film

I actually like 1 &3! Didn't care much for the second, but it's still awesome.
I think you will find the direction and dialogue was to blame for most of it but yes Haydn C wasn't the greatest!
Obi wan is awesome. Speech between him and Anakin l/you're my brother etc was fucking awes.

No matter how pointless the pod race scene actually was (I know Anakin was a good pilot etc), it was a cinematic spectacle. Darth Maul was a brilliant villain, just a shame he only featured in EpI.
Ep2 wasn't the film I expected. I know Obi Wan mentioned the Clone Wars in Ep4 but I always imagined something similar to the original films. I think they got carried away trying to make the film look like Blade Runner, although it looked spectacular.
Ep3 was only let down by Obi Wan riding the Boga which to me seemed to be for the kids. The opening scene was epic and seeing Palpetine in the chair was a nice touch. Shame Darth Tyranus was little more than a cameo. The ending was like Lucas tried to salvage the whole prequel trilogy and make it more like the originals.
If what I have read about matte paintings and models is true the new films will be as good as the originals. Just hope they play down all the democracy talk. Be good if they go along with the theory that Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc but that would have leaked by now...

I liked 3 too, it's a shame it gets bundled in "the new 3 are shit" sentiment, if it's judged on its own I think it's a pretty solid film.
If Boba Fett has somehow survived my son is going to be the happiest kid in the world! By far his favourite character, to the point he won't watch ep6 now because he doesn't like when he dies!

Pod race is brilliant.
Anyone catch the re-release in 3D at the Cinema? It was epic.
EP3 was fantastic. My only real issue with the prequels (ok, well theres a fair amount but I can let most slide) But it was the fact every single shot was far too "busy". Aesthetically, PM was best for this as it largely looked more cinematic IMO.

Hate the prequels, hate Ewan McGregor hate hate hate. Fucking shite.
Ep3 is the only half-decent one and even that is gash compared to the novelization (which is very very good btw if you haven't read it)
The most promising thing about this trailer IMO is that it looks and feels a million miles away from the prequels
