I had an odd one this time.

It said that the front and rear brakes were imbalanced and the requirements were only just met and that the braking system requires adjustment or repair.

Does anyone know what sort of adjustment they need with this kind of advisory or what causes the imbalance?

It pulls a bit under braking so I'll send it back over the next couple of weeks to get sorted, but I didn't understand why they let it pass. They have only quoted an hours labour to take everything apart and clean it up so that's not too bad. As long as there are no nasty surprises.....

Probably just the calipers not working as good as the opposite side but enough to pass the brake test. I'd imagine the test works on a percentage and it's made it through but been low enough to only advise.

Just strip them down and grease the sliders and make sure you don't have any sticky pistons.

Ditto that, anything that affects braking efficiency so that and also any tension on the flexis, uneven wear side to side in the disc or pad.

Strip down and check over should sort as above.
