Waiting on a payment. Other person said it was transferred wed night and it's still not in. Both accounts different banks. Normally when I do it goes straight in. Has anyone experienced it taking over 24hrs?

Usually instant/same day if same bank or faster payments. If not, definitely next day.

Bullshit it takes a week.

I received over 10k when I sold my car....the chap got out his phone and transferred it with his app. Was instant

Have had my brother send me money before, Barclays to HSBC, and that's sometimes taken 3 working days

Faster payments are officially within 2hrs. BACS payments take 3 days to clear and some banks show the balance in your available credit and some don't. Most banks are on faster payments which replaces BACS but you do get the odd occasion when it's not available.

I think it depends on the bank too. I can only transfer from mine on a banking day, Mrs with Natwest is instant.

Normal transfer or BACS Baza?

The former should take about two hours, the latter will take easily two or three days, longer if a weekend is involved.
