Why would you ever let your 11 year old race in this anyway, its such a shit pikey sport. Barely better than banger racing. Alright for a laugh if youre old enough etc but for kids, ridiculous

My thoughts precisely Steve.

If they weren't old enough to drive on the road, i'd never let a child of mine anywhere near any form of motorsport.

Just doesn't seem like disaster mitigation or appropriate parenting on any level.

Ah! Cool. He must be this Jesus guy we're hearing so much about.

Back from the dead and all. Isn't it supposed to take three days or something?

He's about fifteen years late too.

Seriously though, nice if he is actually in hospital rather than brown bread.

A kid could get a whack and die from loads of sports, hockey, Rugby etc. Can't wrap them in cotton wool

Agreed, Im usually a massive advocate of this, however in this instance there is a bit of a difference between playing hockey or football, than letting your kid loose on a dirt track, in a car that was plucked from a scrap heap, against a load of other pikies in other scrap heap cars.

Went to school with a lad who raced motocross from a young age, I'd say that's more dangerous.

It's tragic but I would have thought it's a rare occurence in the sport.

Or standing at a bus stop while beginner M5 drivers practice drifting out of a junction.

I'll agree it's not the safest sport but how many kids have done this sport with no problems. It's one of those things shit happens. As for the club saying he was dead wtf is that all about.

And it wasn't intended to be funny.

I hold it in the same low esteem as twatter and the majority of Saturday night television, amongst other things.

I like that Nic.

It has a pleasant ring to it...

''faaaace-shiiiiiiiit'' Hmm, deffo rolls off the tongue nicely and has a decent level of in-built contempt to it.

I might have to adopt that if you don't mind.

Sorry for drifting off topic btw and if this poor little bastard is in fact brain dead, or as good as, I feel even more sorry for him if it's true, that his own father deemed it appropriate to share such news on of all things, cuntfacebook.

I find this thread title slightly heartless. If you read it says his brother wrote on facebook, followed by his dad. This maybe his way of expressing his feelings. No doubt their heads are all over the shop. No doubt the parents are blaming themselves.
