Had one last Jan/Feb Eckles.

Worst bit was having the cannula in my hand. FUCKING hate them

The one I had was steroid injections for spine and nerve damage and it did, fuck, all. I got more relief from the local anaesthetic.

Subsequently had a full spine MRI and I was due to have my second epidural on the 12th of this month, but have had to cancel/postpone, as trying to get a copy of the MRI from the hospital that did it, to the hospital that are doing the lumbar punctures, is about as straight forward as booking the queen for an afternoon of BDSM fun and arse to mouth action.

It's very long and it goes in about nine times Ben

It's that or sweet fuck all, when you've been crippled by your job and it is decided that the cons of performing surgery on you, outweigh the pros.

You'll be fine. The local anaesthetic will nip but otherwise you shouldn't feel a thing. Think it sounds worse than it is! Hope you are okay.

Jim, that sounds amazing Can't wait now. Hope your back gets better!
Jambo, its just a precautionary measure to ensure I've not had a brain haemorrhage. Sounds lovely but its just being thorough I guess.
Thanks Shell!

Thanks Jambo. Wasn't sore Glad it saved your old man

The neurologist told me there are abnormalities in the spinal fluid, but because I've had this headache over two weeks, he can't promise I've not had a haemorrhage or whatever, but he's pretty sure MRI or CT scan is next I think, with a dose of radiation for good measure.

Is there any connection between Eck making a reappearance and shell making an appearance at the same time?

Cheers gents, it should be fine really other causes could be viral meningitis or something else that's fairly easy to sort.
Steve, my reappearance is due to the fact I've been in the house (or hospital) for nearly three fucking weeks Need something to do!

I have had a lot of grief with this for the last few months. I had some epidural injections in my spinal column and had a leak in the dura.
The headache was awful, it decreased in pain when I lay down. The hole in the dura from the injections did not close up so caused spinal fluid to leak causing pressure on my brain or something.
I had to have a blood patch to seal it and then it went over a week or. Whilst waiting for the bloodpatch I was advised to drink loads of fluids and take caffiene tablets.

Does the headache ease of lying down?

Dav, that doesn't sound pleasant mate thankfully I don't seem to be in that 1/3 who suffer headaches due to it, but I've still got the headache I had before it You seem to have had every possible issue arising from an LB
I feel for you, Gary The lad who did mine did it well it seems! Only had the aches due to it, and stiff legs I seem a lot more fortunate than most!

Not hit any nerves eck? My leg shit bolt out straight when I had it as they must have touched a nerve.

I guess the procedure has come on a bit from when I had mine about 13 years ago
