Does anyone feel like it has very little to offer these days?
I think I'm going insane.

you need to go to deeper.
Though I feel myself visiting the same like 10 sites, 2 of which are amazon and ebay where I look for shit I'll never buy.

I feel the same ollie. Internet has gone too commercial and politically correct. People are in fear of speaking out about what they really think as it's not so anonymous now.
Felt like I've seen all the good clips on YouTube now. Read all the jokes and seen all the funny pics and gifs.
No more tanks are being dragged out of lakes and every abandoned property has been urbanly explored. All the good build threads have turned into people restoring a car by fitting new mudflaps, a gearknob or polishing plastic headlights. Fed up seeing normal box houses full of the ikea catalogue.
Its just adverts and self promotion these days.

I didn't even realise pvs had happened. Gone are the days where there would be a page of just pvs chat and pics!
Did CS have a stand this year?

The issue keeps being ignored.
Look at help thread section. I keep waiting for the day there isn't a single
Post displayed in last 15 days field.
Quicker and easier to use Facebook. This site needs to do more on there IMO.
However conversation has been had 52725625272556262725 times on here. Ian is obviously fine with how things are, which is his choice.

Not really a fan of FB in terms of groups etc. the civic type r forum I am on set up a FB page and now the forum is even more dead then it was and the same crap just goes round and round on the FB page. as its too busy to keep track of so the same stuff gets posted and no one gives a sensible reply to anything.
Shame as FB really has killed off forums imo
Used to love coming on here a few years back. Get some gossip or post something up I thought was good. but now I just find myself scrolling fb looking at drival like everyone else

Groups about cars which are utter shit, can't have a conversation because anything vaguely busy goes massive really quickly. No usernames so you can't remember anything about who posted what, can't quote, can't quote selectively, can't search, can't title threads, can't typically filter out the guesswork posted by people who don't know what they're talking about etc. etc.
But everyone is already authenticated so its easy to reply, so its winning.
I do think forums won't die completely, and that's coming from someone who isn't obviously fine with how things are.
Not sour grapes, its a shit way to get advice on fixing a car. So perhaps there's hope for us yet.

I think tbh, someone needs to accidentally stick a few dozen KV through the wrong things at bookface HQ. Preferably all of their servers.
Always held all that myface/friendface/bookspace bullshit in the utmost contempt. The fact that it's got to the point where it's robbing traffic from useful resources only increases my dislike of it.
Sick of hearing about it frankly. It's like a nasty disease.

I would say CS is more of a social site than a technical site.

True plus the one bonus of the civic forum dying down and going on fb is all the clowns, attentions seekers and vtec yo comments have moved onto there. So if you don't mind waiting for a reply the forum gives a good answer and can hold a serious conversation about projects etc without all the crap been posted between

Their data farm is in Sweden if you want to fuck it up.
Loads of English lads working there too as the Swedish are too laid back haha. Lad has just come back into our site that's been over there
