I don't know why there's so much surprise around this article. Coming partly from a German background and changing their family name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, I'm not sure why, even after WWI, people doubt there may have been some underlying support for the Nazi's prior to WWII.

Its a nothing story, i might be wrong (im not great with history), but werent the Nazis generally considered ok around 1933, before Mr. Hitler got involved?

The Nazi party were the national socialist German workers party (NSDAP) before they went mental. Quite normal indeed.

Gained loads of support after the great depression. Not too dissimilar to ukip I guess.

To me its the same as dressing up as and doing Jimmy Saville impressions at a kids party, People would of done it ten years ago and it be fine.

Do it now and people would go mad, same with the Nazi salute, it was before it all kicked off so irrelevant.
