Basically parked up, shopped, reversed back and because the soil was lower than the kerb my splitter thing got caught on the back of kerb and ripped the bumper off...
Are they liable ?
If they were on top of the maintenance then the soil/flower bed would be level ?

Why does every one assume their mistake is some one else's?

Of course you can, just make sure you're clear on how the kerb moved while the car was stationary

Why would the soil be level with the kerb anyway?

Oh my days. Yeh I'd complain and say that extra inch of soil would have stopped a 1.5 ton car from ripping the bumper off. Surely you realised when you drove over it

Fuck off i've seen so many people beach their front bumpers on kerbs like you've done, so it's your own fault.

Of course not I had to be super careful parking my citroen near kerbs as it would scrape so now I always leave a few inches gap irrespective what i'm driving out of habit. Surely you felt it start to scrape ?

I broke both bumper brackets doing what Twiggy did, when I first got the Z4 as I didn't realise just how low the front bumper was.
Cost me £50 to put right. Not once did I think it was the fault of the supermarket

Yeah deffo the supermarket faults for putting the kerbs in a stupid place.

Cheeky bastards putting in kerbs so you have to park in front of them and not on top Take 'em to the cleaners!

Most supermarket car parks have signs up saying they accept no responsibility for loss or damage caused on site

I got a claim from a local tesco. but that was because of an 8" deep pot hole, not because I couldnt park.
Turned into around about £800 claim

You aren't seriously going to go in the store and ask them to replace your bumper because the soil was lower than the kerb that you parked over are you?
