Best of luck to you
Have you prepared even a small groom speech or just going to wing it on the day?

Prepared notes, then winging it from there, I reckon the hype and good feeling on the day will help me through

Tend to agree.
Where are you getting married / reception? You'll be spoiled for choices of scenic locations up there I would imagine?

Good luck mate, iv got a month or so to go before mine
I should write some notes for the speach, but I will probably just get hammered and wing it, that's what everyone will expect me to do anyway
What sort of do are you having

Having a humanist ceremony, and a band playing at night, 100 guests during the day, and a further 100 evening guests, so it'll be busy

Pritty much the same as mine, 90 in the day then circa 200 in total to the evening do.
Can't wait for it to be over and get on with my life. All I hear is wedding wedding fucking weddings !
I'm sure I will enjoy the day though

Nah I'm the manager,
Better off being in work, less ear bendings, and less tidying up to do

Good luck. I don't see point in marriage unless you have children/plan to. Been with my Mrs near on 10 years, neither of us want to. You'll be fine though, I'm at a wedding (renewing of vows) tomorrow too! I think there's more pressure on best man than the groom tbh

More rights if things don't work out. Think it's nice to have a family name too, where kid has same as parents
It's all personal choice obviously, wish anybody getting married all the best.

I think the people who don't understand marriage are people that have never found the right person.

We have been together 10 years also, and want to have children soon, we would like our kids to have the same name as us, and be a family.

If only you had said earlier I could have saved you a small fortune!
Deed-poll only costs £33!

In the modern world, is there really any need for marriage? Besides Facebook likes, of course.
Been managing perfectly fine with my missus in our house without a piece of paper telling me some kiddly fiddler agrees to our last names matching and some other reigious bullshit

Each to their own and all that but we're much the same. Perhaps once we've settled down in a house we could stay in for 10+ years then we'll maybe do it.
At the moment to me it just seems like a lot of money to spend getting drunk for one day and buying 100 people dinner.

A lot of the time, it's done because it's the "done" thing.
