Currently on a training course through work so staying in a hotel.
The hotel has a pub attached to it, so through our buisness account we get a free breakfast and evening meal every day.

Sat in the pub waiting for my steak thinking, is it wierd to eat out on your own?
It's not something I personally would ever do back at home. And I do feel slightly awkward doing it here but it's free...

Weird if you're put on your own and you're paying. But if it's business related then there's thousands of people doing it week in week out.

As said get all you can out of it. Steak every night (as long as it's medium rare or less)

Just feels abit wierd. It's a fully functioning pub, not just one for the hotel if you get me, so there's like family's and friends and that all having meals and I'm just sat on my own

Oh and
Rare steak with chunkey chips.
Profiteroles for desert and I'm onto my third pint

It's no dramas really eating on your own. It's only weird if you make it look weird.

I haven't really got a problem doing things on my own. Sometimes prefer it.

Just act suspiciously and leave everyone wondering imo. Like you're a spy or assassin

Do it sometimes after finishing work, go into the brewery tap but thats attached to the brewery lol never thought much of it but I wouldn't drive to say, a Taybarns or a Cheeky Nandos by myself.

Could always just wait for the food to come then put it in a tupperware and leave.

I don't see anything wrong with it though, I do lots alone.

It's not weird at all. Maybe not in the pub you was in, but if you look around when out you will notice this quite often.

I do it when working down south - hotel breakfast, local bars for tea... Actually enjoy time away from the Mrs

Work away alot on my own,

sort of get used to it lol, usually just catch up on the news while eating/waiting,

got quite a few places i frequent so they remember me and have a talk,

oddest thing is when your in a country where barely any one speaks english, i went 4weeks once with out talking a word of english to a person face to face, now that was odd.

Eating by yourself is strange the first time I concede that. Just take a book or something with you next time to stop you gazing round the room. You soon get used to it. Often had waiters sitting down for a chat at quiet times which is nice.

Whenever I've done it I buy a newspaper or two and read them cover to cover.

Not weird, depends on the place I guess.
I eat alone in the cafe most days, on my break at work, doesn't bother me. I just eat, then mess around on phone

Always wondered why it's weird to go to the cinema alone, but not to watch a film at home by yourself.
