Carlisle looking bad. We have about 1ft left on the flood defences where I am. Grim for all the places that have already flooded and lives/homes ruined.

For the southerners, Carlisle is in the north of England.

Got some pics earlie today will upload them. It's much worse now though.

environment agency saying tomorrow about lunchtime will be the peak for the water. thats a long time away.

there is a lot of traffic coming down here where i live which is a dead end road and its on high risk. none of it has gone back past, and there isn't another way out. odd.

Brother in law lives near Penrith and had to wade through a flood on foot and walk a mile to get home after work, left the car at the brown of a hill.

They live half way up a fell though so should be ok.

Keswick isn't looking too clever, flood barriers have been over powered.

My mate came round earlier and left his shoes outside as they were muddy. When he came to leave a leaf had been blow into one of his shoes. Was pretty mental.

It's a tad moist tbh, power on and off, much debris blowing about as the wind is fucking unreal. Generally nerve racking shizzle. Rain has stopped though, bonus.

Area where the power sub station is for Carlisle is almost under water. Expected to be out of electricity soon. Environment agency is saying all flood defences will be breached by 1am for Carlisle. This is grim.
