I'm just about the buy a car and have done a Hpi check via MyCarCheck.com and it came up with a slight discrepancy:



I've contacted the seller, and he has assured me that the mileage is okay and at my request he sent over a copy of the MOT certificate that shows this:



So is the MOT Certificate a greater source of evidence than the Hpi check?

Be great if someone can help me shed light on this as i'm due to get the car tomorrow!

I'd say to look at the mot history.

Or phone up the hpi people and see how they get their mileage records.

i reckon 18th sept should read 57,000miles

Yes, I think you're probably right 3cm, the seller said he purchased the car in Oct 2014 with 57,000 miles on it which ties in with the 37,000 written so it's basically a typo. I've back checked the service history and it checks out okay. So fingers crossed it'll be good!
