Does anyone know what the dilution ratio is for G13 coolant is? I need to replace the coolant in my Boxster and have found out this stuff is near enough the same as the Porsche branded/equivalent (which I can't seem to find anywhere). I've heard from someone that it should be 1:1 and another person that it's 2:3, but I need to make around 22 liters of the stuff so don't want to have to buy much more than required!

Just do 50:50
Can't have too much in it but you can have too little.
99% of cars I've ever worked on have had 50:50

Does that seem like a lot ? The rad on my MR2 decided to shit itself on Saturday and they say the system needs 20 liters which I thought was a fair amount

22ltrs sounds a lot.
Fuchs do an almost identical product, its like a G13 equivalent.

As everyone else has said 22ltrs is a lot. Most cars take about 8 I think?
I know the Porsche will have a fair bit more with the radiator up front and the engine in the back. But it still seems a lot.

Most cars have one radiator and an engine at the front. The engine in this car is in the middle and it has three rads and a lot of pipework! I always use Pelican Parts for service instructions and the quantities come from here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/29-WATER-Flush/29-WATER-Flush.htm
Found a pic of the bottle and it seems like 2:3 with deionized water works down to -24 degrees C so was planning on doing that.

VR6 was designed to be a diesel engine, the standard bottom is good for 500bhp.

Didn't know they had three rads.
As I said I know they've got a fair bit of pipe work but didn't think it was that much haha.

Three rads, two air conditioning condensers and an oil cooler. Just to keep things reassuringly expensive when the vents get clogged with leaves and they corrode and fall to bits

I think the Boxster will always have a stigma attached to it, even though they drive better than a 911 people will always prefer the 911 as that's a 'PROPER' Porsche
