Right. Went to Ripspeed (Halfords) today. Spoke to the bloke there and I am looking at getting a set of Team Dynamics Phantoms in 15" in antharite.
He assured me that they will come in et45, fair enough. however he went on to say that I need 195/50/15 tyres. If I go for 195/45/15 the speedo will read wrong. I said it doesn't really matter coz I did the same on my Nova. He said it does coz it could read 30mph when I'm really doin 40mph! I'm sure most people go for 195/45/15. My car is a Corsa B.

He quoted me £380 for the wheels in antharite with 195/50/15 tyres. And £480 for em in antharite with 195/45/15 tyres.

Advice appreciated. I can also get the wheels on interest free finance for 6 months.

Cheers,
Alex.

195/45 will look much better, will give a truer speed (the bigger tyre will be more likely to have you speeding when you don't realise).

Also if you lower it the extra 5% can be handy...

Your speedo will not be out by 10mph if you are doing 30mph for example, the guy is talking out of his ass!

a 195/45/15 is exactly the same height as a standard 13" corsa wheel and tyre

I want the best handling as poss, so I'm keen for et45-49.
What wheels could I get, poss 6, 7 spoke design like the Wolfrace UR7 in et45-49. Preferably in antharite?
