my mum just got 2 speeding fines in the same day (bad day, dont ask!). is there a way she can get off them or lower the penalty? appart from finding a reciever for the points.

they were both gatso's apparently.

any help would be cool!

Yes easy, when the documents come through, dont sign them, then t will be made void upon receipt at the police station. They may take you to court though, but nothing will happen since the documents are not legal as they havent been signed by the accused.

Thats a little loop hole that I read in some magazine recently. Supposed to work.

Just dont sign, they cant make you sign.

apparantly if u send em a cheque for the fines and make it a few pence too much, then they have to send u a cheque back for the refund.
And they can't issue points until all the financal shite has been settled, so never cash the cheque they give u......

Have only heard this method..

you muppet, it'll just make things worse. You think the police don't know about these 'loop holes'.

They will catch you sooner or later so pay the fine and take the points. If not, it'll get worse.

you need to identify who was driving etc

if u dont do that within 28 days , u get mega fined and banned

Loopholes and all that are great, but there will always be loopholes that the cops can use. Not identifying driver=witholding evidence, obtructing the course of justice, etc, etc.
If they dont do you for the speeding fines they will always find a way to get you for something.

you would have to prove you were away. i.e plane tickets etc...they would check up then if they found out u were lying you would be in deeper shizen!!!
