What is it like on fuel economy in comparison to the 1.4? Is the porformance much better?

and wot engine it is!
example. my 1400 corsa was slower than my 1250 zetec fiesta, but it ate more petrol!!

yes my car goes for miles and miles on a motorway as it doesnt have to work hard
yet in and around town it absoultely drinks it
ive had a 1.8 vectra which wasnt bad with either id say its evenly balanced

it depends on how much u put ur foot down, my 1.6 gsi if i put foot down alot bye bye petrol but if i drive it like a old person it goes for ages, me dads got a 1.8 16v zetec escort and its exactly the same

my dads 2.0 sri veccy, is pretty crap tottling round town, but on the motorway, its will sit there all do.

im meaning the 1.8. is the bad fuel economy worth the performance? i like to have summat i can have fun in, but at same tiem summat i can relax in and get god fuel economy?

The 1.8 SRI mate? Corsa C?
Compared to the 0-60 time of 8 secs i think it's somthing like 32 MPG.If i was gonna get another corsa i would go for the 1.8 Decent insurance too!
