when i get my new car im buying a new system and was wondering what you thought of this lot- the general consensus seems to be that a quality headunit, components and sub is the best way to go so
1- clarion dxz938r head unit
2-mb quartz psc 216 componants
3-jbl 12" gtb sub in sealed box(already in my car- will be keeping it)
4-rock fosgate 400x 4 channel amp(already in my car also)
5-quality wires, dynamat and proffesionally installed and tuned for £1100#
mainly listen to hiphop, drum and bass and rock- what do you reckon to this setup- thinking of adding another sub and running both subs of the amp- then buy another amp for the componants
bear in mind this is in a new mini so space is at a premium

OK mate, here my thoughts.
Get another sub, (if you listen to hiphop etc. 1 sub wont be enough )
Then use the 4 channel amp to run the components. 1 channel per speaker. Will sound . Then get a monoblock amp that will overpower the subs by about 100-200RMS higher. Then use tonnes of Dynamat and your done. this in the rite sized boxes and proper set up will sound fookin ACE.

cheers lads- thinking of buying two stealth sub boxes that fit in the corners of the boot as there is not much space in there

good idea, u can either fit ur amps under a false floor perspex cover or on the back of the rear seats, looks nice n neat that way. I think stealth boxes are awsome even though i dont have any myself.
