sending abusive txts is actually a crime....get in touch with orange and give them the number and tell them to investigate.
depending on the content of the msgs he/she culd actually go to court....
if u dont want to take it that far then get in touch with them neway and tell them u want to block his number and also private numbers.....hope ive helped

yeah you have, contacted orange the woman said they cant do anything but will get someone from the malicious calls section to contact me. She said we could change your number if you like, so think might do that option aswell.
Cheers munch, phone guru!

to recap munch's blurb!
Malicious, hoax and nuisance 999 calls and messages can be offensive, threatening or simply very annoying. They may even cost lives. They may result in your service being suspended and can also be a criminal offence. It is an arrest-able offence and the maximum penalty for harassment is 5 years imprisonment.
If You're Receiving Nuisance Calls
• Keep calm - Most Malicious callers gain pleasure from upsetting the person they call. So, by keeping calm and showing no emotion, you may put them off.
• Don't give out your mobile number - When you answer the phone, just say "Hello" rather than giving your name and number. This can stop a caller who dials your number at random from remembering it and calling again. If a caller asks you to confirm your number ask them what number they want and then tell them whether they are right or wrong.
• Let callers identify themselves first if their number is not displayed on your mobile.
• Be careful not to leave your name or contact number on your mailbox greeting.
• If, after following these general precautions, the phone rings again, don't say anything when you answer it. A genuine caller will speak first.
• Don't talk to malicious callers - Some malicious callers may want nothing more than to have a conversation. You should put the mobile down calmly and ignore it for a few minutes before ending the call or switching it off. This can often deter the caller particularly when they realise they're wasting their time and money.
• Remember malicious callers use the phone to hide behind, because most would be too frightened to say the same things to your face.
What Can You Do?
If you receive a malicious or nuisance call and would like advice, contact your Service Provider if you have a Pay Monthly mobile. You'll find their number at the top of your bill. You can also get help by dialling 100 from your O2 mobile.
If simply contacting your Service Provider does not solve the problem you should tell your Service Provider to contact the O2 Nuisance Call Bureau. A specially trained team of people there will be able to offer further advice and assistance on dealing with the problem. They may decide to apply a tracing facility to your mobile telephone number. Almost all malicious calls can be traced and we'll work closely with the Police* to provide them with all the information they need to investigate your case further.
If you have a Pay & Go mobile you should either contact the Police to report that a crime has been committed or customer service who will pass your details to the Nuisance Call Bureau if further help is needed.
*Please note that we have to give information resulting from our investigation straight to the police. We cannot give it to you directly.

Orange are useless in that respect, when I had some joker phoning me up once upon a time ('private number') and hanging up when i answered the call, or ringing for like 2 seconds then hanging up, I phoned up Orange and asked them if they could block all calls where the caller witholds their number, they said they can't do this (on normal BT phones you can however, so I don't know whether it's just Orange being crap or this can't physically be done on mobile phone networks), I asked them if they could change my number, they wanted £10 or something like that to do this, in the end of the call, the woman said she'd get someone from their Malicious Calls Unit to phone me back, which they did THREE DAYS LATER!
I just disconnected the number in the end and am now using my second number that's on my contract. Definately won't renew my contract with Orange when it's up in July!

I used to get prank calls all the time off of someone on here. NEver found out who it wasn, was never bothered either. I just used to sit there and talk about my day, wht i'd been up to, crank up the ICE system, let me matesex talk to them saying i was gonna get a damn good blowjob etc 2nite etc etc. They kept calling and never said a word.
Some people are still searching for that word "life" i guess
