I just read the other thread posted by Munchie about different BB providers etc., anyway I was looking at Tiscali's site, and they do 512k access for £27 a month, and this package includes free modem and connection!

I am thinking of ordering this soon, but I just wanted to know what people think of their service and such like, before I do so!

had no problems with it mate. 50-60kbps regularly off kazaa, sometimes higher

So am I right in saying that your connection to the Internet would be 512k for example, but the speed between you and whatever you are downloading would be significantly slower (ie. 50-60k as transca says)?

yeah its a 512k connection but its different to the download rate, 50 aint bad when u compare to dial up ie 4-5kbps (56k connection)

Im on it too, connects at 576k when you connect up. Kazaa, download speeds of around 60K yeah, slower as also depends on who you getting the info off, but its their upload rate that will govern this!

Tiscali is good though, no problems.
