On my way home yesterday, I thought I would nick in to PC world to get an IDE cable for me CD-RW. I knew PC world was dear but the cable only cost £1 of ebuyer so I thought £3 tops out of PC world....at least I would get my PC working
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=32461
Anyway I went in, over to the cables, select one IDE cable, looked at price and £16.99
Ripoff B4stards!!!!
I left..............without purchasing

One day I had to urgently get a USB cable, they sold it for £15.99 or something, and I went into Comet and it was only something like £7.99

Admittedlty PC WOrld rip off those who don't know that much about computers, families, older couples etc go there as it's most heard of, this is where they make a profit.
Anyone with some intelligence with computers knows the various prices and where to get it relatively cheaper. However PC World, tend to have sudden knock off with stock, i've picked up a GeForce4 64mb AGP from there on a weekend sale for £39.99 which at the time was very good (still is!) also I picked up 128mb RD Memory for £90 which was very good!
Now and again I look into PC World but normally I buy from http://www.overclockers.co.uk or better yet the local trader Watford Electronics - http://www.savastore.com
And yes I agree with willay, that was rather ghey red_sxi
