it would be a real shame to c one of the best english players ever not to play in England.

Not a massive fan of footy but do enjoy watching a couple of teams play and of course england  I think Beckham is a great player, despite being a little weird, but then i think i would be wih all that money   . He plays best when he really wants it and u can see hes all over the place trying hard. Other games he seems to not be so involved and doesn't play nearly as well as he can.
I think it would be a shame for him to leave England. He should play for another UK team if he wants to leave Man U.

He is very overated imo. Hard worker but very one dimensional... not really the kind of guy who can dictate and change a game unlike zidane for example

I think its a shame, as much as i think Beckham can be a twat etc etc its a BIG shame for the English game.
He is without doubt the best English player ever, nobody else in the world can pass, cross and shoot / take free kicks like him and it will be a shame to see him go !
Wish he would stay in the premier league to be honest cos he is just going to fade abroad untill the England games come around and we see him again (like McManaman)
Also Barcelona dont have that good a squad, as much as i hate to say it Man Utd actually have the better team, if i was him i would of picked Inter, Ac Milan or Real as they have a better Squad !!

Those two comments are pathetic
a: How can you say if you took certain skills from a player they would be crap? beckam developed those skills whilst at man utd, he has only become the player he is in the last 5 years
b: How can he be captain of England, if he hasn't the ability to change a game? i thought captains were supposed to be inspirational players... his dtermination and hard work for england just shows me exactly why he can change a game. Not even mentioning his freekicks and ability to turn and spot a player 50yds away and pass the ball with deadly accuracy.

he is a good player in certain areas, but his tackling and heading ability is poor while when properly marked he disappears from the game
+ i think he is a good player, but to call he 1 of the greatest is a bit to much, as i don't think he is the leage of mattews, charlton, moore, hurst, robson, gascoige, sherear
