any one ever had in growing toe nail?
did they get a sheropadist to look at it? how much was it and was it painful?
cus ive had 1 for ages, got used to it, but my toe is purple:S

Yep, I had both mine removed , well, they cut each sides of the nail off, leaving narrow bit
Doesnt hurt much, apart from when they stick the 5" long needle length ways down the side of your toe to pump the local anaesthetic into em.
Then after 5 mins or so when you cant feel anything, they get a screwdriver-style tool, and thrust it underneath the nail, sliding it back and forth to seperate the nail away from the skin.
Then they get this thing that looks like a pair of scissors, slide em under the nail, and cut the edge of the nail out.
Then it absolutely kills if you put your feet down once the anaesthetic wears off, as your toes fill up with blood.
The gayest thing is thing is having to give em salt wash every day, and put new dressing on it, every day for about 2+ months I think it was .
May vary tho, thats how it was when I had mine done .
And it was free.

It is soo bad , i were nice and relaxed till the pulled out that fcuking needle , they cud of injected me while i were at home from the surgery wi size of that fcuker ,
jesus ....then she cut down side of em both and removed bit . and then it were ok.
till last yr when i were in portugal ,pissed and as i were crossin road a bastid taxi run over my left toe and bust it all up again , then i just pu salt water on it and its nrly betta as i aint goin back there again, was sooo painful ,worst torture i had as it was painfull everytime i walked on it
a reason for it happening is loose trainers not tied up , which is what i still do ,so i suppose its my fault rly

my dads mate had one, he had it for about 6months, but coz he left it,it got infected went a bluey black colour n he now has nine toes, get it sorted is my suggestion, no matter how much it hurts

nah m8, it aint infected, i went to doctor she gave me antiboitiics and said use cotton buds to push my nail above the skin.
but i think ill get sheropodist or private care

I had 3 of my toes done in one go (all on right foot, both sides of big toe, both sides of next toe, one side of the 3rd one), it's fine! I sat there watching them doing the op! 
Hurts a bit afterwards, but it's only a dull throbbing pain compared to the sharp stinging pain you get if you push the ingrowing part of the nail into your toe (like when someone steps on your foot accidentally).
Oh, and I ripped the nail off my big toe sparring in kung-fu 3 weeks after, it's never grown back properly since, and my chiropodist wasn't too happy that I spoiled all her good work! Oops!

I got my full toenail removed. It was sooo painfull after it for about a week.
Now it's bad again, as there was tint bits of nail bed left, and bits of toenail are growing anywhere they want basically.
I go to the doctors, and they perscribe me antibiotics. Don't help like.

Yes ive had 1 they removed half of it but kept on ingrowin so they removed the whole nail and injected my big toe and the nails never grown bak since.

on my right foot, my big toe nail is ingrown, but i just use my DIY skills to keep it to a minimum. Squash something down behind my nail the cut it or give it a pull with tweasers.
Oh, and i play football, so you can imagine the pain unless i do this.

tell u what it fcuking hurt , drink took it away abit ,my mates were pissin em self , but when i took my trainer off i has bllod all over my sock and shoe ,was well bad!!!
