i did mine slightly different, you see on the bottom of the aribox on the side that goes next to the wing, there is a clip off bit, well instead of drilling it i removed it, as this is nowhere near the engine i removed it before i even started drilling it, made a lot of difference, could be worth taking it off and trying it .

Am I right in presuming you will fail an MOT after performing such actions?

If the answer is yes, I suppose its easy enough to get a new one from the scrappers.

Its all my Pa asks me about - "Is that gonna make it fails it's MOT" - as I have to get my car MOT'd next month...
